Mark Nelson

Mark Nelson is an experienced web developer, currently employed by Green Media in Newcastle upon Tyne, with several years experience of working in PHP and MySQL to produce websites ranging from a few pages to large sites with a full CMS and payment facilities.

Green Media, based in Newcastle upon Tyne specialise in SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and Web Development as well as Email Marketing, Pay per Click and bespoke CMS (Content Management Systems). Mark is the Senior Web Developer in a team of web developers and PPC/SEO experts.

Since completing a BSc in Multimedia Computing at Northumbria University in 2003, which coverd topics from web development to video and sound editing, Mark Nelson completed some brief spells of temporary work before taking up his current full time web developer position with Green Media. These included digitizing legal documents for a stock broker and delivering and installing PCs as part of the Government´s Home Computing Initiative

As part of the degree course at Northumbria University Mark also completed a year long professional work placement at Marks and Spencer. At Marks and Spencer Mark was part of the database support team and mainly involved in providing 2nd line support as well as working with other teams on new and existing development projects within the company.
